A Non for profit / non government organization, working in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is seeking the services of a Project Manager, to oversee and manage the building construction to be based at Peshawar with the following TOR, education and experience.

Job Title : PROJECT MANAGER

Qualifications :

• BSc (CIVIL) Experience

• 15 years (or above) in construction management and project management.

Duties and Responsibilities;

The Project Manager shall be in-charge and wholly responsible for the resident supervision of construction activities, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Cost management, Risk management, Time management, Contract administration, Communication management and Data management systems. The Project Manager shall lead, coordinate, advice and monitor the following:

1. Initiate, plan, monitor, control and close out functions related to the project management including Time, Cost, Contracts, Quality and Risks.

2. Develop, implement, monitor and control QA/QC, Safety, Site Management and Supervision procedures.

3. Review and approval of Specifications, Materials, Mock-ups, Technical submitting, Method statements and Shop, working, construction, composite and as-built drawings.

4. Carry out inspections of works and ensure strict QA/QC of the works including but not limited to Building layouts, Bar Bending schedules, site quality tests which includes, but not limited to, concrete compression strength, steel tensile tests, sieve analysis and FDT.

5. Review and approve contractor’s proposals of alternates, substitutes etc.

6. Respond to all technical inquiries, clarifications etc. requested by the Employer and/or Contractors.

7. Preparation of Construction Master Schedule and ensure implementation of target schedule/time and budget.

8. Develop Look-ahead plans, MRP, RRP and follow up of the same to ensure productivity rates and compliance of weekly work/execution schedules.

9. Prepare related sections of reports on monthly or at intervals required by the Employer.

10. Collect, verify and submit site data on daily basis including work progress, number of labor, equipment, materials, critical issues, safety, security, site administration issues and other necessary information.

11. Conduct, participate and record minutes of technical and coordination meetings, workshops etc.

12. Liaison, coordinate and follow up with project stakeholders including clients, contractors, consultants and other departments including design, procurement and project control systems and provide input as appropriate.

13. Identify and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of potential risks, modifications, propose mitigation methods, obtain approvals and ensure compliance.

14. Preparation of Project Budget and ensure cost control including but not limited to Integrated Change Control system, Cost Monitoring, Cost Forecasting and Cost Reduction.

15. Review and assessment of Interim payment certificates, Incremental final quantities and Final payment certificates.

16. Identify, report and maintain log of all variations from the original design.

17. Comprehensive, analytical and practical knowledge on best practices in construction contracts and administration to ensure interpretation of key clauses, dispute resolution procedures, responsibility matrix, claims management and TIA.
