The Nation is an English-language daily newspaper based in Lahore, Pakistan since 1986.Rameeza Nizami is the Executive Editor of The Nation.

Journalist Syed Adeeb is an eminent Columnist, Feature Writer and the U.S. Correspondent of The Nation. 

It is published from Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Karachi by the Nawa-i-Waqt Group, which was founded in 1940 by Hamid Nizami (late),

and later led by Chief Editor Majid Nizami (late) and Editor Arif Nizami.

Nawa-i-Waqt Group also publishes the Nawa-i-Waqt,an Urdu-language daily newspaper, and prints 4 weekly English and Urdu magazines.

Waqt News TV is a popular, Lahore-based, Urdu-language television channel of the Nawa-i-Waqt Group. 

Air Commodore(R)Khalid Iqbal is the lead columnist of this paper; his column under the caption “Current Affairs” appears every Monday.

The Nation is the oldest continuously published weekly magazine in the United States,

It was founded on July 6, 1865, as a successor to William Lloyd Garrison’s The Liberator,
